From our humble beginnings in 1997, Main Street Grill has changed throughout the years to epitomize fantastic food, great service, and a truly authentic Mediterranean-style dining experience. Our restaurant has transformed with the community, from simple sandwiches and burgers to a diverse menu serving the very best in several culinary tastes including American, Italian, and Mediterranean dishes. As High Point has grown into a thriving medley of people and interest, our restaurant has reflected this change in both our menu as well as our atmosphere. Through this development, we have made ourselves known as the single best restaurant in the downtown area for excellent service and fine culinary tastes sure to please any palate. In January of 2008 our name also changed to better illustrate the essence of our casual dining with a fine dining feel. We derived our current name, Sumela from a city in Turkey, around the Black Sea area, which reflects the authentic nature of our dining environment, sure to please every customer who travels into our door. Family owned and operated since our inception, we strive to offer an excellent experience for every diner of every age.
